Bahrain’s Tender Board Council opened bids for 15 tenders that were launched by 10 organisations in the country during a meeting chaired by Bahrain's Housing Minister, Bassim bin Yacub Al-Hamar.

According to Bahrain News Agency, tenders for which bids were opened covered the delivery of general construction services for Tatweer Petroleum and engineering services for Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco).

A bid for Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs, and Urban Planning's Lawzi PPP Housing Access Roads, a project that is being funded by Saudi Fund for Development (SFD), was also launched by the board.

Additionally, bids for the provision of support and maintenance of Airport Modernisation Programme ICT Package Systems at Bahrain International Airport were also launched.

Tender Board Council approved bids for financing the construction of Salmaniya multi-storey car park for Bahrain Real Estate Investment (Edamah) and the construction of Tubli Educational Garden.

During the meeting, the board also launched bids to provided air conditioning services for the main building of Muharraq Municipality, and for the leasing of two advertising sites.

Bids to supply skilled manpower for Hawar Power and Water Station at Hawar Island was also okayed by the board.

The board also approved bid-opening for four tenders issued by Bahrain’s Electricity and Water Authority’s Central Stores Directorate and two tenders by Gulf Air, BNA reported.
