UAE-based solar energy provider, SirajPower, is in collaboration with Al Ghurair Group, to implement solar systems across their facilities in the UAE.
To commence the first phase of the deal, SirajPower has been appointed to design, construct, operate, and maintain a 1.8MWp solar rooftop plant for Gulf Extrusions’ facility, which is part of the Al Ghurair Group and is located at Jebel Ali in Dubai. The aluminum rails that will be used to mount the solar PV panels will be manufactured by Gulf Extrusions. The project covers 4,500 solar panels that will annually generate 3GWh of clean energy.
Commenting on the partnership, chief executive officer of SirajPower, Laurent Longuet, said: “The shift to solar became a reality in the UAE, and this is being proven with the growing number of local groups adopting clean energy. Their cross-sectorial activities have a positive impact on the flourishing economy of the UAE, so having Al Ghurair Group on board is another milestone for us.”
The increasing number of new businesses, especially prominent local groups, opting for solar services is becoming significant in the UAE.
Speaking about the partnership, chief executive officer of Gulf Extrusions, Christian Witsch, added: “SirajPower rapidly made itself a name in the market to become synonymous with innovation and sustainability. The synergies between both local powerhouses are expansive. Our partnership with SirajPower is in line with our commitment to environmental sustainability.”
