Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWGA) has opened a building for the central region administration in Al-Bataeh.

The building, spanning an area of more than 1,400m2 aims to provide various services as part of the framework of the authority’s plans, Sharjah Government Media Bureau’s (SGMB) Sharjah24 reported.

The opening of the new building comes on the sidelines of the directives issued by HH Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, aiming to providing high-quality services to the customers and the residents of the central region through modern technological means and keeping pace with the civilisational and urban development in Sharjah.

The building was inaugurated by HE Dr Eng Rashid Al Leem, Chairman of SEWGA , in the presence of several dignitaries and a number of department directors and heads of departments. HE Al Leem said that under the directives of the Ruler of Sharjah, the cities of the central region are witnessing an urban renaissance supported by an infrastructure.

He stressed that the authority will work on implementing a number of developmental projects for networks and distribution stations in the cities of the central region to achieve its development plan and its vision of sustainability in cooperation with all government agencies and major international and local companies.

HE Al Leem stated that the building is an addition to the central region, including the equipment and comprehensive services for electricity, water and natural gas services in one place and with easy procedures.
