Abu Dhabi City Municipality is to issue a tender inviting private sector investors to finance, develop and operate under a lease arrangement a world class events and family entertainment venue that will act as a major visitor attraction to the Emirate.
The events venue will cover over 200,000m2 of the 80-acre Khalifa Park (twice the size of Universal Studios, Florida) and be active from October 2014 through to March 2015, says the WAM news agency, and attract between 1.5-2mn people over six months.
It will include a circus, large-scale fun rides, a full calendar of shows, carnivals, parades, firework displays, retail pavilions and food and beverage outlets.Â
