Huge developments are building ahead of steam in the kingdom as it looks to create the infrastructure needed to support its many megaprojects, including the $500bn Neom complex and the 334km2 Qiddiya entertainment city.

Rail Systems Manager
Atkins

Global consultancy Atkins wants to hire a rail systems manager to work within its transport and infrastructure (T&I) division, which Atkins said has a “significant” pipeline for “strategic and major project” in Saudi Arabia’s rail industry.

The rail systems manager will lead the review of data and reports to develop trend-based information, making recommendations to improve operations and maintenance rail projects, and the performance of systems equipment failures.They will also need to lead quality inspections for maintenance works and sign off requests for inspections (RFI) on behalf of public and private clients.

Quantity Surveyor
Dar Al Riyadh

Construction and engineering business Dar Al Riyadh is looking for a quantity surveyor to join its growing design team based in the kingdom’s capital city, Riyadh.

The quantity surveyor will be responsible for risk and value management, as well as cost control. They will need to be able to identify and analyse commercial risks and develop responses to them. Preparing and analysing commercial bids, as well as tracking physical progress of projects will be required too.

DAR Consulting Engineers

DAR Consulting Engineers wants a civil construction manager to join its team and start work on a project management contract role in Saudi Arabia.

The Saudi Arabian-based consultancy said it wanted to hire a candidate with a strong background in project management consultancy for construction projects.

Al Jehat Company

Saudi Arabia’s surveying and mapping business, Al Jehat Company, also known as Jatco, wants to hire a piping engineer. 

The candidate will need to boast a strong background of work in the oil and gas sector as the piping engineer will be responsible for work on Jatco projects in Saudi Arabia’s crucial oil and gas industry. 

Formed in Dammam in 1975, Jatco is an active player in the Middle East and claims to boast a workforce of more than 600 staff.

Project Director
Atkins

Atkins wants to recruit a self-starter to join its Riyadh office as a wastewater project director. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for projects for water and wastewater clients in Saudi Arabia. Water and wastewater infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects may include water distribution, sewage collection systems, pump stations, reservoirs, hydraulic structures, and water and wastewater treatment facilities, including desalination plants.

As a project director, the candidate will lead a team of project managers, engineers, technical specialists, and CAD technicians, based in-country or remotely.

Design and construction consultantny Currie & Brown wants to hire a site-based project manager for what it called a “prestigious high-rise tower project” in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, 

The project manager will support site leaders in generating a high standard of service delivery, achieving successful outcomes for the client, capturing and sharing knowledge across projects, enhancing the company’s “culture of innovation”, and reinforcing its regional reputation.

The project manager should have a minimum of eight years’ technical delivery experience, preferably gained by working for a global engineering consultancy.

Senior Architectural Engineer
Arabian Castles for General Contracting Company

A senior architectural engineer is wanted by Arabian Castles for General Contracting Company (ACGC).

The candidate will need to have at least ten years’ experience working in architectural design and engineering, with at at least five years’ experience in a supervisory position.

The individual will need to have approximately five years’ experience in the computer design space, ideally within the oil and gas sector. They will need to be competent using software such as AutoCAD MicroStation as well.
