Rubber World Industries (RWI) has won an AED600,000 insulation contract for the Manarat Al Saadiyat building in Abu Dhabi.

Featured products included Gulf-O-Flex rubber insulation tubes, rubber insulation sheets, PVC black tape and Gulf-O-Glue for the 15,400 m² visitor centre.

Designed for MEP contractors, Gulf-O-flex is designed to prevent condensation or frost formation on refrigerant lines, cold water plumbing and chilled water systems.

“Our products have become the leading choice for high-profile developments in the UAE, and we are proud to be a supplier and a part of a pioneering development such as Saadiyat Island,” said RWI chairman Abu Baker Shaikhani.

“We are confident that our products will meet the project’s requirements, which are focused on reducing costs and energy consumption.

“We intend to leverage this as we look into securing more deals and partnerships with leading developers of massive mega projects, in line with our aims to increase our share of the regional market.|

Literally translated as ‘a place that provides enlightenment’, Manarat Al Saadiyat encompasses four major art galleries. It opened its first phase to the public in November 2009.
