The Italian Sea Group has introduced a 72-metre Admiral superyacht, better known as the Admiral 72. The debut occurred earlier this year during a private event held in collaboration with Giorgio Armani at the Marina di Carrara Headquarters in Italy.
The Admiral 72 was initially revealed in 2020 and represents the inaugural entry in a pair of superyachts conceived entirely under the creative direction of Giorgio Armani.
This unique vessel seamlessly merges the distinctive characteristics of Admiral and Giorgio Armani to give rise to an avant-garde superyacht, characterised by its unmistakable exterior design.
Over 650 guests including shipowners, brokers, shareholders, authorities, VIPs and the press were welcomed to the unveiling. The event was emphasised by the presence of Giorgio Armani and by the words of Giovanni Costantino, Founder and CEO of The Italian Sea Group.
Admiral 72 is described as having “large, sharp, geometric volumes that are perfectly balanced with curvier, softer shapes, for an ensemble that is majestic yet dynamic.” The yacht features an extensive use of glass to create a seamless transition between her interior and exterior spaces and can be adjusted, thanks to a clever positioning of sliding panels.
“This superyacht is the result of an exciting partnership of which I am extremely proud. It is further confirmation of our way of being able to realise unique projects with Made in Italy brands of excellence that share our values”, commented Giovanni Costantino, Founder & CEO of The Italian Sea Group.
Amplifying Giorgio Armani’s aesthetic philosophy
Admiral 72 harmoniously fuses elements from the realms of both nautical and fashion, amplifying Giorgio Armani’s distinctive aesthetic principles. The interior decor exudes a compelling blend of boldness and relaxation, embracing a theme of timeless minimalism.
It achieves this by employing refined materials, exquisite hand-crafted finishes, and a skillful interplay of soft and vibrant colors, culminating in a design that epitomizes minimalist luxury.
Admiral 72 has an expected delivery date of early 2024.
