CW In Focus | Dubai Ruler unveils major RTA projects
A summary of the RTA projects unveiled by HH Sheikh Mohammed to improve social happiness and mobility
May 2019 has seen a number of big ticket announcements across the emirate of Dubai, the most high profile of which came from the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) following the approval of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai.
As part of his visit to RTA on 30 April, the Dubai Ruler also reviewed, among others, a Sky Garden, a 380m-long and 60m-high footbridge spanning 3,422m2.
The same week saw Dubai developer Emaar Properties launch its $6.8bn (AED25bn) Mina Rashid development by Emaar, which will feature 430 berths – large enough, the developer said, to accommodate some of the world’s largest yachts.
In this episode of Construction Week In Focus, Jack Ball, senior reporter at Construction Week, outlines the major Dubai construction projects launched in May 2019.
