Located 4km off the coastline of Dubai in the UAE, artificial archipelago The World was unveiled to much aplomb in May 2003, with construction starting later that year.
Dubai-based developer Kleindienst Group is developing six of the 300 islets that make up the project, its development coming in the form of The Heart of Europe.
