The emirate of Sharjah is evidently transforming into a leisure and entertainment district, with UAE real estate developer Arada's recently opened edutainment complex Madar playing a contributory role.
The 55,741.8m2 edutainment complex is located in the heart of Arada's 2.2km2 and $6.53bn (AED24bn) Aljada megaproject.
The Madar complex, which is located in the Muwaileh district in Sharjah was opened by HH Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and the Ruler of Sharjah.
Among the key attractions are a food district, a play area, a skatepark, an amphitheatre, with a capacity of 500 people, as well as indoor and outdoor event spaces. The area comprises more than 5,000 trees and 800 parking spaces.
Madar is the first part of Arada's Aljada community to be completed and will serve as the community's focal point.
